Photography Workshops

Photography Workshops

Join me for an immersive photographic experience in one of several amazing locations.  I lead solo workshops with small groups (4-6) , or I partner with Jack Graham to lead more extensive workshops for larger groups (8-10) of photographers to adventurous locations.

The workshops I lead, or co-lead,  are not “photo tours” where clients are brought to locations and let loose to shoot.  Each one of my workshops, either solo or co-led, involve extensive in-the-field training on composition, “seeing”, creative subjects, reading the light, etc as well as classroom education and image critiques.  Its through this practical learning while on location that elevates your photography to new levels.

As new workshops come online I will post them here.  If you’d like to be notified of new workshops, please drop me a note and I will add you to my mailing list (no spam, I promise!)

Serene Sunset

Yachats Oregon Workshop – May 2018

Come visit the most beautiful section of the Oregon coast, in and around Yachats.  Called the Gem of the Oregon Coast, Yachats is centrally located to some of the most majestic and photographic locations on the coast.   We will have plenty of fantastic locations for sunrise and sunset along with a multitude of interesting features to photograph during the day, from lush coastal forests and streams to inter-tidal tide pools, fishing harbors and lighthouses.   Come see Thors Well, Heceta Head lighthouse, Newport Harbor, Cape Perpetual and many other incredibly beautiful locations.

Our days will be filed with shooting and working on technique on-locaiton and we will also spend time in a classroom setting learning more photographic techniques as well as image critiques throughout the weekend.

Please send me a note for further details about this exciting workshop.

Photographing Bears and Landscapes in Alaska – June 2018

Co-led with Jack Graham, we take you on an incredible once in a lifetime experience with the Alaskan Brown Bears as they feed on spawning salmon in Katmai National Park. We stay at an outfitter who provides all of the lodging, meals and daily air transportation to various locations to photograph boars, sows and cubs feasting on the largest salmon runs in the world. You just need to get to a small town in Alaska to begin the experience.  This 5 day workshop will bring you safely up close and personal to the bears in the wild, amidst stunning landscapes, to create amazing images you will cherish for a lifetime.

For pricing and more detailed information, please send me an email and I will send you all of the details.
